For years, I have been designing, creating, analyzing, and trying to better understand the people for whom my products and services are created. Recently, I decided to retake the 16personalities test — and the result was Advocate (INFJ-A). Does this personality type really fit the creative and UX/UI fields? I tested it on myself.
Empathy and Vision – My Natural Environment
INFJ is a rare personality type, often called the “Advocate” — a person with a strong sense of mission, high empathy, intuition, and imagination. In practice, this means:
- I quickly sense the needs of users and clients — not only through what is said but also through subtle communication cues, unspoken expectations, and emotions.
- I can combine deep analysis with creative approaches — I am not afraid of new, unconventional solutions but always ask “why” and “for whom” I create.
Discipline and Assertiveness – Pillars of Daily Work
- 74% Judging: I like having organized processes, clearly defined tasks, and awareness of what leads to a successful project.
- 90% Assertive: I can stand up for my opinions, negotiate collaboration terms, and enforce what’s important for the quality of the final product.
- I’m not a “social butterfly” for show — I work focused, but I highly value team relationships. I know when to speak up and when to step back to give space to others.
Intuition – Not Just an Artistic Asset
- 96% Intuitive: In my work, this means constantly looking for new perspectives, testing solutions, and quickly spotting trends.
- The ability to read context and pick up signals beyond the brief helps me design not just “pretty things” but primarily effective and engaging experiences.
Why Share My Personality Test Result?
I believe self-awareness and the ability to talk about one’s strengths (and weaknesses) are vital assets in any industry. Tests like 16personalities are not a prophecy but can be an excellent starting point for reflection on one’s work style, communication, and building valuable relationships — both with clients and teams.

If you work in a creative field, manage projects, or simply want to better understand yourself — I highly recommend this test as a development tool, not just an HR curiosity.
