Metricon is a concept for an enterprise platform that helps organizations transform operational evidence into confident decisions through structured validation, interactive reporting, and collaborative analysis.
Rather than focusing on isolated validation activities, the platform connects validation environments, evidence collection, and decision support into a continuous workflow. Every validation session contributes to a growing knowledge base, enabling teams to understand complex systems, identify meaningful patterns, and collaborate around trusted evidence.
The goal was not to design another testing tool, but to create an evidence-driven platform where validation activities become transparent, traceable, and actionable. By combining structured evidence, contextual analysis, and interactive reports, Metricon enables cross-functional teams—from validation specialists to engineering leaders—to make informed decisions with greater confidence.

Anonymized product concept based on an enterprise QA platform. Product names, branding and selected details have been adapted for portfolio purposes.
Organizations often rely on disconnected tools to perform validation, collect evidence, document observations, and communicate results.
As validation activities grow, information becomes scattered across recordings, screenshots, telemetry, notes, and static reports. While each artifact provides part of the picture, the overall context is often lost, making collaboration difficult and slowing down decision-making across teams.
The challenge was to design a platform that transforms fragmented validation activities into a structured, evidence-driven workflow. Instead of treating validation as a collection of isolated tasks, Metricon connects evidence, context, and interactive reporting into a single experience that supports collaboration between validation specialists, developers, engineering leaders, and other stakeholders.
Metricon is designed as an enterprise workspace where structured validation becomes a shared source of knowledge rather than an isolated activity.
The platform enables teams to collect evidence, organize observations, generate interactive reports, and collaborate around a common understanding of system behaviour. Validation is no longer treated as the final step of a process, but as a continuous source of trustworthy information that supports product development and operational decisions.
The long-term vision extends beyond evidence collection.
As organizations perform more validation activities, Metricon transforms recurring patterns into reusable workflows, helping teams standardize best practices, improve consistency, and continuously build organizational knowledge.
Metricon is part of a connected enterprise ecosystem composed of two complementary products.
Each product serves a distinct purpose while sharing the same evidence-driven workflow.
The operational workspace where validation activities are performed.
It enables users to:
Metricon focuses on collecting reliable evidence and transforming it into actionable knowledge.
The collaborative platform where reports become shared organizational knowledge.
Control Hub enables teams to:
Rather than replacing the desktop application, Control Hub extends its value by making evidence accessible across the organization.
The Big Picture User Journey illustrates how users progress from their first interaction with Metricon to collaborative, evidence-based decision-making.
It was designed to align the product strategy, operational workflow, and business model before designing individual interfaces. The journey demonstrates how each stage contributes to the platform's core value proposition—transforming validation activities into structured evidence that can be shared, understood, and used to support confident decisions across the organization.

The project is organized into a set of strategic design areas that together shape the complete product experience—from user acquisition and operational validation to collaborative decision support.
Designing the entry point to the platform, including product positioning, pricing strategy, account creation, and the first user experience.
Designing onboarding that helps new users quickly understand the product, connect a validation environment, and complete their first successful validation session.
Designing access to validation environments, including Local Devices, Shared Cloud Devices, and Dedicated Device Pools that scale with organizational needs.
Designing the operational workspace where users conduct validation sessions, capture structured evidence, and document observations with minimal cognitive load.
Designing reusable validation workflows that help teams standardize recurring activities, improve consistency, and build organizational knowledge over time.
Designing interactive reports that transform captured evidence into structured, explorable knowledge, enabling users to understand context, compare validation results, and support informed decisions.
Designing the transition from individual work to team collaboration by synchronizing reports with Control Hub while preserving project structure and enabling knowledge sharing across cross-functional teams.
The following walkthrough demonstrates how the product supports users throughout the complete validation workflow—from onboarding and evidence collection to interactive reporting and collaboration. Rather than presenting isolated screens, it illustrates how individual design decisions work together as a coherent product experience.
