My role

  • Brand Creator,
  • UX/UI Designer,
  • Content Strategist

Platform

Blogger (customization)

Challenge

The o-czym.pl project was born from the need to create a digital space dedicated purely to reading and reflection — without author exposure, social features, or unnecessary distractions.
The goal was to build a complete brand identity and design a user experience that feels closer to reading a book or a magazine rather than browsing a typical blog.

Key objectives:

  • Develop a cohesive brand (name, communication style, visual aesthetics).
  • Design a minimalist, user-focused interface.
  • Maximize readability and user comfort.
  • Eliminate social interactions and comment sections.
  • Ensure scalability for future content expansion.

Process

Brand Creation

In the initial phase, I crafted the complete brand identity for o-czym.pl:

  • Defined the name, reflecting intimacy and reflective content.
  • Established the communication tone — neutral, professional, and calm.
  • Created a visual style that supports the content rather than competing with it.

Shape

Shape refers to the idea of a meeting.

The meetings happen every month. People will talk about technology, business, design, art, public relations, social media, marketing, games, programming, photography, and new businesses. Everything people enjoy talking about.

That's why the question is open and ends with the underscore.

Colour

Education should be fun and for everyone. That's why I choose bright green and blue. The orange is an accent and means joy.

Also, I checked the contrast and I have chosen a bold font. Thin font on a white background would be difficult to read when the logo will be small.

UX Strategy and Project Redefinition

Originally intended to support educational meetups, the project evolved into an independent publishing platform, focusing exclusively on delivering high-quality written content.
This strategic shift was based on user behavior analysis and business goal alignment.

Information Architecture

I designed a clean and intuitive site structure:

  • Simple, easy-to-navigate layout.
  • Logical categorization of posts for better accessibility.
  • Elimination of unnecessary sections — ensuring full focus on the articles.

UX/UI Design

The interface was designed with:

  • Maximum readability (careful typography choices, generous spacing, calming color palette).
  • Seamless mobile and desktop experience.
  • Extensive white space to reduce visual fatigue and support longer reading sessions.

Blogger Customization

  • Customized a standard Blogger template through advanced CSS modifications.
  • Optimized the structure for SEO and user experience.
  • Ensured visual and functional consistency across the platform.

Solution

o-czym.pl became a unique digital platform that:

  • Provides a distraction-free reading experience.
  • Reinforces a sense of privacy and intimacy by removing social features.
  • Delivers high-quality, thoughtful content without the need for author exposure.
  • Is flexible and ready for future growth and content scaling.

Outcome

  • High average session duration (> 3 minutes), indicating strong user engagement.
  • Strong and cohesive brand identity — from the name to the user experience.
  • Resource efficiency — no need for social moderation.
  • Scalability — the structure is ready to accommodate additional content formats and sections.

Project cost

A minimalist, custom-branded blog like o-czym.pl — designed and launched on the Blogger platform — would typically cost €1,200 – €2,000 (PLN 5,000 – 8,500) in 2025 when commissioned from a professional designer.
This price includes the complete process: creating the brand identity (name, communication style, visual aesthetics), designing a user-focused and distraction-free interface, developing a custom template, optimizing for readability and mobile, setting up basic SEO, and handling all technical configuration and launch support.
In other words, the cost covers both the blog’s design and implementation as well as the full development of a unique, cohesive brand — resulting in a digital space that stands out from standard templates and serves its audience with clarity and intent.
